Semantic annotation through data serialization - a search engine optimisation strategy for mobile voice search

ABSTRACT
The increase in voice queries has important implications for information retrieval on mobile devices where the focus is on intent rather than on keywords. The aim of this research is to develop a semantic data serialization strategy for mobile voice search. The strategy may guide developers to explicitly expose the semantics of data for improving the relevancy and personalization of search results on mobile devices initiated by voice. This research will contribute towards increasing the visibility of commercial websites through semantic annotation and serialization of data for indexing by search engines and the use by semantic mobile search algorithms.
